Resin glues and dowels secured by hydraulic clamp pressures and steel pins are used in our production process. The Tropical Hardwood used in the beds are indigenous to Indonesia. Tropical Mahogany has a tight grain and is similar to American Cherry varying in reds and browns in its natural state and is used in the majority of our products. Mindi is similar to American Oak and is used in the Santa Barbara and Nevis Collections. Headboard/Footboard to the wooden side rail fittings are metal to metal, providing the most rigid and stable construction. This allows the bed to be detached and reattached as many times as necessary over the life of the bed without causing wear and tear to the connecting hardware. These fitting are also hidden to ensure the beauty of the wood and style of the bed. All of the beds include hardware slats (4 slats or 14 slats bound in roll) providing a secure foundation. The “4 slats” system is used in conjunction with a box spring and the “rolled slats” can be used with mattress or futon only. Also included in Queen and King sizes are center support legs following the recommended warranty guidelines set by the mattress manufacturers. All Chests, nightstands, dressers and armoires are constructed of solid hardwood frames and hardwood veneers. The frames are corner blocked to ensure the unit stays square preventing any type of racking therefore increasing the longevity of the unit. Drawers fronts and tops are either solid wood or wood veneer. Drawer boxes are either plywood with a dowel joint or solid with English dovetail, depending on the collection. The drawers are either with full extension, ball bearing drawer slides or side metal euro glides both ensuring a smooth opening and closing. Inside each draw box is stained to match the exterior finish with identification to indicate proper location of drawer box. Dust protectors are included in framework where necessary. The beds and case goods are produced in the same factory. All primary finishes are applied by hand producing a rich finish. Topcoats and sealants are applied with spray guns in dust proof finishing booths.
