On Display in the Alexandria Va Showroom The Barcelona chair designed by Mies Van der Rohe. The chair was originally designed for the Deutscher Werkbund Pavilion at the World Exposition in Barcelona 1929. The chairs were to be used by the King and Queen of Spain on their official visit to the exposition. Our Barcelona chairs are made as close to the same as the original using modern day technologies. The sturdy frame is made of w chrome-plated flat steel with no visible welds or joints.
